“ASIA FINEST CULINARY SPECTACLE CONCLUDES!”

 

Kuala Lumpur – Culinaire Malaysia 2025, the region’s most prestigious biennial culinary competition, concluded on 26 September after four days of outstanding creativity, craftsmanship, and culinary excellence.

 

The 17th edition, co-organised by the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), the Professional Culinaire Association of Malaysia (PCA), and the Malaysian Food and Beverage Executives Association (MFBEA), was staged at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in conjunction with the renowned Food & Hospitality Malaysia (FHM) exhibition.

 

The event concluded with a grand Award Presentation Dinner at Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre, officiated by Mr Lee Thai Hung, Deputy Director General, Promotions (II), Tourism Malaysia.

 

ELEVATING THE SCENE & CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN CULINARY ARTS!

 

CM2025 achieved striking participation, with 1,060 entries from 18 countries vying across 35 competition classes.

 

A distinguished panel of 125 international and local judges, led by Chief Judge Chef Karl Heinz Ney, assessed participants on technical skills, creativity, and innovation. Over the course of the event, 635 medals were awarded, including 90 Gold, 204 Silver, and 341 Bronze, alongside 318 Diplomas. 32 special awards recognizing outstanding achievements were also handed out. Beyond the competition, Culinaire Malaysia 2025 also demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by giving back to the community; raising RM3,300 for the Food Aid Foundation through charity lunch held throughout the event days, supporting their mission to provide vital assistance to communities in need.

ASIA REPRESENTATIVE TO THE WORLD STAGE CHOSEN!

 

A major highlight of Culinaire Malaysia 2025 was the hosting of the Worldchefs Global Chefs Challenge Asia Regional Semi Finals, where top chefs from across the continent competed for a place at the Worldchefs Global Finals in Wales, 2026. After an intense series of contests, 4 contestants emerged as the regional champion of their respective category, securing the honour of representing Asia on the world stage next year, in Wales.

As Culinaire Malaysia 2025 draws to a close, the Organising Committee, together with the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), Professional Culinaire Association of Malaysia (PCA) and The Malaysian Food and Beverage Executives Association (MFBEA), extends our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, judges, sponsors, partners, and attendees whose support and dedication have made this edition a resounding success.

 

“As we close this edition of Culinaire Malaysia the success of this event does not rest solely on its reputation as the premier culinary arena of the region.” Said Ms Shirley Lai, the Organising Chairlady of Culinaire Malaysia 2025. “The true key to our continuous success is the unwavering commitment and dedication of its people; The Organising Committee, the Secretariat, the judges, the sponsors, the partners, and of course, the participants. With its 17th edition successfully completed, Culinaire Malaysia continues to set the benchmark for culinary competitions in the region, cementing its reputation as the finest platform for culinary excellence in Asia. About the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH)

Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) is the umbrella body for hotels in Malaysia formed in 1974 and initially established by a group of concerned and dedicated hoteliers to bring about a more dynamic hospitality industry aimed at building a workforce of highly skilled, innovative and disciplined individuals. Its long-term goal was to enhance the efficiency of the hospitality industry, thus, bringing about a more dynamic Malaysian hospitality industry.
