INAUGURAL MAH TOWERRUNNING CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES!

“Vertical Race in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur”

 

 

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 APRIL 2026 – The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) and the Malaysia Towerrunning Association (MTA) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its inaugural MAH Towerrunning Championship 2026 (MTC2026).

 

MAH Towerrunning Championship Event Details

Total Participants  :         300

 

This landmark event serves as an industry-led initiative to position Malaysia as a premier sports tourism destination and a new addition to the country’s growing urban sports and sports tourism landscape.

 

The championship saw participants take on an intense climb of 51 floors, covering 1,186 steps, testing both physical endurance and mental resilience. Held in the early hours of the morning, the event featured a mix of seasoned towerrunning athletes and first-time participants from MAH member establishments.

 

The event was graced by both MAH and MTA leadership, alongside representative from Tourism Malaysia, including Mr. Mohd Ashrul Ashraf, Deputy Director (Package Development Division) and Ms. Zurina, Senior Deputy Director (VM2026 Secretariat).

About the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH)

Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) is the umbrella body for hotels in Malaysia formed in 1974 and initially established by a group of concerned and dedicated hoteliers to bring about a more dynamic hospitality industry aimed at building a workforce of highly skilled, innovative and disciplined individuals.
