We’re excited to share
the opening of 1926 Heritage Hotel Penang, marking a century since the building
was first established in 1926. Now welcoming guests along Jalan Burma, the
hotel sits within a historic residential enclave just moments from George Town’s
UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Thoughtfully
restored, the property preserves its Anglo-Malay architectural character while
reinterpreting its spaces for today’s travellers. The experience extends beyond
the hotel itself—from nearby temples and neighbourhood kopitiams to creative
spaces like Hin Bus Depot, offering a more lived-in perspective of Penang.
Within
the hotel, spaces are designed for both rest and connection—from all-day dining
at The Heritage Collection by Daily Coffee and Root House by Gēn, to the calm
of Sensorium, an Asian-inspired wellness space. The setting also lends itself
to a stay that brings together heritage, lifestyle and wellbeing.
