On the 28th of
June at Grand Dorsett Subang, MAH’s Madam President Christina Toh was
interviewed by Bureau Veritas Malaysia (BVM) as part of their customer’s
success story. The interview is also a part of a larger collage of stories
regarding the Travel Safe Alliance Malaysia (TSAM) that will have inputs of the
other members of the alliance as well.
TSAM is a
united front comprised of the nation’s four major players in Malaysia's
tourism, business events and airline industry. The members include, Malaysian
Association of Hotels (MAH), Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition
Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS), Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel
Agents (MATTA) and airlines under the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG).
For MAH’s
part, the focus of the interview was about the hygiene and safety label known
as the “Clean & Safe Malaysia” certification program. The program was
offered to all MAH member and non-member hotels across Malaysia and its purpose
was to ensure that appropriate health, safety and hygiene procedures and
processes are in place and in line with both local regulatory requirements and
international standards.
MAH has
appointed BV Malaysia as the independent auditor for the project due to the
organization’s global footprint and proven auditing expertise in more than 140
countries. MAH trust that BV, leveraging on their vast experience will be able
to deliver a consistent and uniformed solution to all the stakeholders involved
whilst ensuring transparency and quality is maintained throughout the whole
processes.
The
purpose of the interviews was for Bureau Veritas to hear the story of
collaborations, campaigns, and partnerships from the perspective of MAH as
their customer. Bureau Veritas also believe that this interview will not only
benefit Bureau Veritas but since it will be published in Bureau Veritas’ main
channels, will also serves as a great platform for MAH, MATTA, MACEOS and MAG
to reach the wider international audience as well as share with the public on
the measures taken in ensuring the best practices and preventive measures for a
safer business restart after the pandemic.
