Membership - Overview
Why Join MAH?

MAH is a 30-year old association with 13 state chapters and more than 500 member hotels. Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, it provides members with government liaison, training and education, research and information, and other services to ensure a positive business climate. Individual state associations provide representation at the state level and offer many additional cost-saving benefits.

If you're not a member of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), and your state association, you and your hotel are missing out on countless benefits that save you valuable time and money! Right now, hundreds of hotels are taking advantage of terrific benefits that help their properties run more efficiently and profitably.

If you're not operating a hotel, why not join MAH as an Associate Member? You will discover that being an Associate Member is a door opener to more than 400 hotels and resorts. You will be equipped with the credentials needed to access and sell to the lucrative hospitality market.

Becoming Members...

Ordinary Membership* is open to:

  1. Hotels with a minimum of 10 rooms and above and holders of Hotel Licenses under relevant laws;
  2. Representative of hotels, which are under construction and/or pending the obtaining of a Hotel License. Approved member hotels, which fall into this category, however do not have voting rights until they commence operations.

Associate Membership* is open to:

  1. Any company or corporation directly or indirectly associated with hotel trade.
    (Associate members have no voting rights.)

* MAH rules and regulations apply.

MACP & PPM / PRISM Licence

We are pleased to present to all MAH members who have settled their current membership fees, the tariff per annum for the next four (4) years that have been concluded per the following schedule fees. These rates are privileged EXCLUSIVELY FOR MAH MEMBERS ONLY.

Furthermore, the MAH Board has decided that the administrative, courier, stamping fees in assisting members to handle the licences for this licence period will be FREE OF CHARGE for all MAH members in benefit.

Should you wish to apply or renew your licences with MAH, please complete and submit the following forms:

MACP:
1. MACP Schedule I, II, III (to be completed in TWO ORIGINAL sets)

PPM / PRISM :
1. PPM Licence Fees 2007 - 2010
2. PPM Application Form
3. PPM Schedule A - Questionnaire
4. PPM Schedule V - Mandate Letter
(to be printed on your official letterhead)

In addition, we requires that your forms to be accompanied wth a copy of your current MAH Membership Certificate in order for you to enjoy the association's preferential rates.


State Chapters...


MAH, through its state chapters will contribute positively to members in the following ways:

  • Spur growth
  • Provide opportunities for leadership
  • Establish a platform for all hotels and resorts to be under one roof
  • Lend support for state governments, hence secure better recognition
  • Offer leadership to the national board
  • Present a bottoms-up view of the industry
  • Organise and manage regional programmes
  • Assist in establishing MAH as the sole National NGO that is strong and recognised
